This Rovas project allows volunteer mappers working on the Openstreetmap project to record their working time and receive rewards for their work.

Automatic creation of work reports

If you map in the Openstreetmap project and want to report your work in Rovas, we recommend installing the Rovas Connector plugins into your mapping applications, which will automatically create the reports for you:

• for the JOSM application — (instructions)
• for the Openstreetmap ID application
  • in the Chrome browser — (instructions)

Instructions on how to verify reports for this project

This project is set up so that all reports submitted by a mapper within 24 hours are combined into one. If there is more than one report and they are created using the Rovas Connector plugin, then the proof of work is a link to a page in the OSMcha application. On the first visit to OSMcha, the user must log in with their OSM credentials.

After opening the verification link, a page opens where, in the left column, there is a list of changesets for the report being verified. By clicking on an item in the list, the corresponding changeset will be displayed on the map in the main window. To get an idea of the length of working time, the color key in the form of a three-color bar shown for each changeset is useful, where you can see the number of created, modified, and deleted objects. In addition, by clicking on objects on the map, you can obtain more information about the edits made. After reviewing the changesets, the mapper must return to Rovas and verify the report.

OSMcha also allows you to directly express an assessment of the quality of the edits in the application by clicking on the Verify menu in the top right corner. However, this action does not verify the report in Rovas.
