Portál www.freemap.sk

The freemap.sk portal is developed by volunteers organized in the local Openstreetmap chapter - OZ. Freemap Slovakia. The portal has been under development since 2009, with the aim of providing high-quality, freely available maps created from the Openstreetmap project data. The current version offers a number of features, is available in four languages and its outdoor layer covers the area around Central Europe, which is gradually being enlarged, as allowed by human and hardware resources available to the organization.

The total time worked shown here, is not complete. Time records in Rovas began sporadically in the summer of 2021, so the number of hours recorded does not include the huge amount of volunteer work the project has required to date. The list of shareholders who have worked or are working on the project is also incomplete.
